Flashlights and Street Fights Recap

This week we caught up with Memphis as they finished their races against the boys from Vegas. But before they could head home, JJ got a call from Lunchbox, the leader of the Cali Crew. Come race night and tempers are flaring. Cali wants flashlight races and VHT burnouts, which JJ just can’t abide. JJ tried to call the whole thing off, but before he knows it a full-on brawl is breaking out among the racers.

SoCal headed home without a race, but the NoCal crew decided to stick around and make a few passes.

VEGAS:

Race 1 –

Driver: Donn Gingrich (MEM)

Car: Gangster

Driver: Jason Ayers

Car: Mustang Twin Turbo

Bet: 1000

Winner: Donn Gingrich

Synopsis: Ayers’ brand new Mustang had nothing on Donn’s Gangster. He takes it by 3 1/2 car lengths.

Race 2 –

Driver: Brian Britt

Car: Assassin

Driver: Bobby Bridges

Car: Malibu

Bet: 1000

Winner: Brian Britt

Synopsis: It was a drag race until the 300 yard line when Brian’s car kicked into full and took the race by a bumper.

Race 3 –

Driver: Jeff James

Car: Big Block Killa

Driver: Frank Yee

Car: Cobra Mustang

Bet: 2000 / Hit: Frank

Winner: Jeff James

Synopsis: Vegas had the lead off the hit, but it wasn’t long before Big Block Killa put a car or two between them.

Memphis v Vegas total take: 19,900

As Memphis was packing up, they got a call from Lunchbox and his California gang who were looking to race. Things got heated and Lunchbox took his team home, but some of the boys from NoCal stuck around for a few good races.

Synopsis: Raul took off hard and managed to keep a strong lead all the way down the track.

Race 2 –

Driver: Lee Roberts

Driver: Carlos Iglesias

Car: 63 Big Block Nova

Bet: 1400

Winner: Lee Roberts

Synopsis: Carlos had put much more power in his car than he needed and his car started to move all over the road. Another win for Memphis.

Race 3 –

Driver: Brian Britt (MEM)

Car: Assassin

Driver: Josh Irizarry

Car: 66 Chevy 2

Bet: 500

Winner: Josh Irizarry

Synopsis: Brian had a rough start off the arm drop. He tried to bring the car to full throttle, but it was too late. The race was over.

Race 4 –

Driver: Midget (MEM)

Car: Ole Heavy

Driver: Raul Mercado

Car: 76 Monza

Bet: 500

Winner: Midget

Synopsis: Ole Heavy ran true and stayed in front the whole way.
